Only 9.1.3 works perfect!

Was running 9.0.0… crashed when opening the app, consistently. Today I ran the update to 9.1.4, and I'm still having this issue. Not sure if there's an outside factor involved, but it was running fine on SL.

try this: open information (context-menu > information), uncheck "start in 32-Bit mode"

let me know if that works.

Logic Pro 9.1.4 works in 64 and 32 bit mode with lion developers preview 4, but the performance aren't amazing, the system overload pop-up appears frequently…

With the GM now I find it wants to re-validate all the plugins again even though DP4 didn't require that. Also I find my coreaudio gone after most reboots and have to restart coreaudio to get any sound back. There are several plugins that all of a sudden don't work in GM.

Logic Pro 9.1.4 + GM, full screen mode not working properly. It messes up if you swipe to the desktop view. Except that, works like a charm.

Any update on the compatibility of Logic 9 with OS X Lion ?

[ Mediocre]MediocreAnonymous 20 Jul 2011 12:57

Could anyone tell me how 3rd party plugins work? Like Predator and Sylenth1? And does it work in 32-bit mode?

[ xgman]xgmanAnonymous 20 Jul 2011 19:23

Most of the issues are with 64 bit and plugins. Checking 32 bit works but obviously has memory limitations. Overall stability is just so-so. Opening up some projects hangs Logic to a crash. It feels like even though a number of plugins (especially Kontakt) need a 64 bit update to work, Logic itself could use at least a compatibility update while we wait for a new "X" version. So overall useable, but expect crashes especially of you have a large plugin library.

Can anyone confirm if 9.1.3 works in Lion?

[ xgman]xgmanAnonymous 21 Jul 2011 18:50

the note above as "works fine" may be a bit too optimistic. It works "fine" if you don't load any plugins or use 32 bit mode. Yes the plugins may be to blame technically, but logic just crashes out and loss of work is a real possibility, so be warned…..

Am having trouble with Logic / my computer recognizing my MOTU firewire interface. After installing LION, I can't find it.

[ _logicuser_]_logicuser_Anonymous 22 Jul 2011 10:08

Dana, that is not a Logic issue. Installing Lion compatible drivers for MOTU fixes the issue, if released yet…

I wonder if all these same problems occur when using the migration assistant. Anyone tried installing their old leopard/snow machine into a new Lion machine using the migration assistant?
At the very least, the migration assistant should tell us if somethings not compatible.

Logic Pro works fine in Lion using 32 bit mode, but when I switch to 64 bit, Logic asks for my password. Also Logic in 32 bit mode requires me to have my Emagic USB key plugged in, if I don't have the Emagic USB key plugged in using 32 bit mode Logic will ask for my password.

@Alex, run software update to get your version of Logic from 9.0 to 9.1.5. That should resolve your issue.

Good luck!
