MAME OS X works great, but the rom "Killer instinct" runs very slow. Not possible to play at all…
I browsed the web for a week, but no solution it seems.
Works fine in 10.8
Works fine in 10.7
I'm putting the finishing touches on the all-new RoaringApps, with support for Mavericks & iOS 7.
Try it out now and help me squash some bugs.

The "Some problems in 10.7" is false. Works great in 10.7.

The gameplay slows at some points taking up 100% of CPU, which makes it impossible to play games that require precise timing: PacMan, Donkey Kong etc.

I just downloaded the rom for Golden Axe: RoDA and MAME OS X… but I'm not sure how to actually play the game since I have no "Library" folder. Tried using the "ditto" command in terminal to copy to the ${HOME}/Library/Application Support/MAME OS X/ROMs folder, but such a folder does not exist… Finder certain can't find it.
This is a brand new PowerMac with OS X 10.7. Playing games on it isn't a must, but it sure would be nice…
Any suggestions?

John: you have the folder right, but getting to it is easy
Goto:
Finder -> select GO from the top menu then select "Goto Folder'
then type in /Users/<your username>/library then his return it will bring you to your library folder and you can click into the MAME folder from there easily

I have tried going into the /user/<username/library/
But when i get there there isn't any folder named MAME or anything names
/MAME OS X/
there is nothing related to make.
Im not sure if i can create the folder and it will work but if you can get back to me ASAP it would be grateful. I can't wait to get this working on my MacBook Pro i7!

Just type or cut and paste:
~/Library
to get there!
