Yes, I have the same problem. Awaken with installed awaken helper doesn't wake my mac book pro.

Awaken has just released an update to 5.0.4. I'm running snow leopard but are the bugs fixed? It said that part of that part of the update was "Lion specific bug fixes"

I have the latest version plus the helper installed and it just doesn't work, even with the screen open.
