I can confirm it (2.1.1.) does NOT work in 10.8, even though the developer tweeted that it does.

There's been a bug in early Developer Previews of Mountain Lion that caused DaisyDisk to crash on launch. Fortunately it was detected and fixed by Apple in later DPs. We have contacted all users who initially reported problems with DaisyDisk on ML, and they all confirmed the problem was gone. So, just make sure you have the latest Mountain Lion update.
