You can replace tuntap extensions by installing openVPN and use watchGuard afterwards.

I'm putting the finishing touches on the all-new RoaringApps, with support for Mavericks & iOS 7.
Try it out now and help me squash some bugs.

Client does work but installer comes with 32-bit kexts, which do not work under 10.7. User will need to locate open source 64-bit versions of the kexts, and install them separately.
Download and extract tuntap from here to /System/Library/Extensions: http://marianmi.comp.nus.edu.sg/2009/08/tuntap-universal-driver.php

when I tried to do this, I got a "system extension cannot be used"
"the system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/tun.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update.
I had to move the old versions of tun.kext and tap.kext back in an replace these to get my internet connection to work again. Btw, the ones in my Extension folder were newer than what I downloaded at the link above anyways.
Maybe WatchGuard will get Lion support soon? Could certainly use it right now.
