The problem exists for a lot of project running on Lion. Running de app in a terminal will show that the issue is caused by a unresolved label in libiconv.2.dylib.

When you follow the above link you'll find a post by the user eagle007 from August 04, 2011, 12:12:10 AM. He fixed avidemux and is providing versions that work. Version 3 did not work for me, but version 2 was fine on 10.7.1.
