Press enter when launching the game to skip the intro and games work properly for Lion. This technique still holds true for Mountain Lion v. 10.8.2 - it would initially crash, but will launch using this technique.

This app still works under Mountain Lion 10.8.2 using the "Hit Enter at game launch" trick on my 13" MBP. I had not tried it under previous versions of ML, so it's possible Apple made a change that allows this app to run once again.

Checked the support forums at Freeverse and there's a thread that states that Burning Monkey Solitaire will not work on Lion and there's very little hope of an update coming. Which is a real pity - It's not easy to find a good set of casual card games for the Mac.

If you start game and press enter for skip the initial movie, the game working normally.

Favo beet me to it (but that is just fine). It will work if you skip the intro. Once in the game, you can go into the games preferences and opt out on the intro movie (so you don't have to manual skip it each time you play). At least this game works this way - love it!
