I just ran this on Mountain Lion 10.8, and it works fine.

FYI: Pseudo cannot run under OS X 10.7 Lion as it contains code that runs under Rosetta which is not supported.

LaunchAsRoot uses standard Mac OS methods to accomplish its goals. However, sometimes, and especially with regards to permissions, the upgrades to the Mac OS will change the behavior of the OS routines, in unexpected ways.
Sometimes, and it has been my experience, time and time again with past OS updates, that these types of issues resolve themselves as Apple releases its incremental updates to the OS, like 10.7.1 10.7.2 etc. as they learn of them via user feedback, We must both just be patient - ha ha.
