Requires a re-install under OS X 10.7 to deal with not recognizing the ColorMunki USB device. You have to ignore the software check crashing on install. Once installed, the ColorMunki works well.

After initial installation the device is not recognized by Retina MacBook Pro (10.8.2). Unplug Colormunki, reboot and reinstall ColormunkiPhoto_1-1-1_Mac. Reboot again. Software and device should now work flawlessly. No USB2.0-hub needed as other people report.

Same issue as tiste pointed out: ColorMunki Photo crashes while launching. No issue for opening in another Mac account I created for the test purpose only. Deleted the software and all subsequent files (CleanApp), then re-installed ColorMunki - didn't help. Discussed with technical support which suggested an authorization issue with my account (which is however on admin. level). Still not fixed.

Have installed ColorMunki Photo twice on MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, OSx 10.8.2 twice.Tried all possible ways of staring and re-booting. Nothing helped. I have same issues as above.

Conclusion: Doesn't work with OSx 10.8.2

Lion (10.7) Comments

When doing a fresh install under Lion, the tool that checks if the installed can run crashes. However the installation proceeds anyway and appears to finish normally.

I recommend that you re-install ColorMunki on OS X 10.7 Lion. Ignore the fact that the software check tool may crash … let the install proceed and finish. Once re-installed the ColorMunki appears to work fine.

I have noticed that ColorMunki will think that a given display needs recalibration before the recalibration period is over. I use a 4 week recheck period. It is as if the recalibration was reset to 1 week.

The ColorMunki application does not launch.
When I double-clicked it appears well in the doc control bar with File / Edit … disappears.
And nothing happens, if I open the force quit, it is stated that the application is blocked.
I have this problem on my 2 macs most recent (January 2012) the others are older but under Lion and there is no problem.
I'm sorry for my english …
thank you
