One would think for a $300 remote control, not to mention all the other gear Mac folks use, that Logitech would be on time with a Lion compatible software release. Inexcusable IMHO. The remote's pretty cool though, Lion notwithstanding.

I just got off the phone with Logitech Tech Support that tell me that version 7.7.0 works with Lion and Harmony One Remote.

But other remotes that use the same desktop software there is a bug, which they are developing a patch for and hope to have it released within the month.

Hope that helps

I emailed Logitech support to try to get to the bottom line and they write back:

"Steven, the Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7.7.0 works with MAC OSX 10.7."

But I will reply about the 32 bit mode issue and get their reply and post here.

Why is this flagged as "Some problems in 10.8" when there are no comments indicating what those problems are? This is really frustrating for me, and I'm sure others, who are visiting this site to see which apps do and don't work with 10.8. I'd like more info as to why the app isn't working in 10.8, so I can make a more intelligent decision as to when to upgrade to 10.8, otherwise for all I know some idiot out there flagged it as not working when it might in fact work just fine.

I just got off the phone w logitech support regarding my brand new ONE remote. My trusty H628 died last night when I plugged it in to update and add the Apple TV. I suspect the software fried the remote as it worked fine UNTIL I plugged it in to their own software. Then Dead. So off to pick up the new ONE to find out the software just hangs and never completes it load on my iMac 27" running 10.8. Read the blogs to find no one who got it working. On a hunch loaded their softward 7.8.06 on my Air and viola! It runs fine and I am able to get the ONE running. Their support stopped me since I have it running on one machine though not the other. I replied not acceptable since the Air is my work machine while the iMac is for home. Case unsolved though at least I have my remote back for the time. The blogs shows this is a long time running issue with Logitech. I tweeted to them and they responded very fast to send them (why?) an incident # to follow. Seems one hand is disconnected to the other. Can't wait for the survey to appear about "my experience"…..

Doesn't work but the customer service told me they are going to release new drivers and softwares for their products soon

Well I wonder how long "soon" is. Guess I better not buy any new a/v equipment until they update.

I'm not sure what version you're using but I'm using Logitech Harmony Remote Software 7.7.0.0 and it works fine.

The Software works correctly but cannot connect to the remote and hence not able to make changes. Even re-installing the software does not help recognizing that the remote is connected.
Have to keep an external disk with Snow Leopard just for updating the remote. Hope it is quickly fixed.

100% works for me.

I have upgraded to Lion using Harmony version 7.7.0.0 and a Harmony 700 remote. The first time I launched the Harmony software it went out and updated Java files, once completed I updated my remote, the software sees it and updated without any issues.

As mentioned, with the optional java installed it works without a hich.

Installed the latest java. Have 7.7.0. The Software does not recognize the remote. Status bar when I want to update the remote stays at 0%.

Software 7.7.0 did stop at 0% when trying to update my Harmony 900. Logitech support told me to reboot my Lion iMac in 32 bit mode (pressing keys "3" and "2" while booting). That did the job.

7.7.0 freezes for me since my Lion update.

A more convenient fix than rebooting in 32 bit mode is to:
- Open System Preferences/Java Preferences
- Change the order so that the 32-bit Java is at the top of the list.
