Matrox PowerDesk for Mac, available with the Matrox DualHead2Go Digital and DP Edition and Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital and DP Edition, improves the way multiple applications are managed on a multi-monitor set-up. Use the PowerDesk software to control how and where your windows appear on your desktop, to re-position the Dock within an external monitor, or to modify your resolution settings.

10.7: The app seems to work fine, but there are issues sometimes when restoring from sleep where the monitors do not come back properly. This does not actually appear to be an issue with PowerDesk itself, but maybe with the hardware, as problems occur with and without PowerDesk running.

Using Dualhead2Go DP edition. Upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion. Currently status is that both external monitors are mirrored at 640x480 even though using Matrox PowerDesk ver is able to correct detect the resolution at 1600x1200. Additional details as follows.

Mode table version: 10.23
Firmware version: 1.0.149
VPP version: 9

Sent a trouble-ticket to both local distributor (Singapore) & Matrox tech support on this matter.

Anyone else having the same problem as I?

Problem solved!

Matrox just recently released a new version of Matrox PowerDesk ( and firmware (1.0.152) which supports Lion. In fact the software download section now differentiates between Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion.

Have fun!
