StarCraft: Brood War is the expansion pack for the award winning military science fiction, real-time strategy video game StarCraft. Released in 1998 for Windows and Mac OS, it was co-developed by Saffire and Blizzard Entertainment. The expansion pack introduced new campaigns, map tilesets, music, extra units for each race, and upgrade advancements. The campaigns continue the story from where the original StarCraft ended,[1] with the sequel StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty continuing from the conclusion of Brood War. The expansion was released in the United States on 30 November 1998

It can't be opened on mountain Lion because it says when i press that it does not support PowerPc-Program anymore please fix it whit a new starcraft patch that works.

This is sad.

Ironically, the only way to get this game to work on a Mac running Lion is to use a Cider-wrapped Windows version.

I find that Starcraft runs better using Parallels to run the game on XP than it runs on Snow Leopard using rosetta.
I can't wait to test it on Lion using Parallels and XP. I suspect it will run fine there as well.

You may also have some luck running Starcraft in Sheepshaver. Has anyone tried this?

Geoferret how do you configured cider to make it work. Mine works, but no grapichs, my screen is all dark, althought i hear the game running as i move the mouse arround.

Please help me out!
