Actually I'm inclined to say it's with some problems, because they run fine if you did an upgrade, but if you install from scratch you can't toggle them on or off. I have not tried to turn them on and off in my updated version of Lion but on my clean install of Lion on my laptop they do not work without some hacking of the SystemUIServer process's preferences…

at least that is my experience.

I've just made a clean install of Lion, installed iStat Menus 2 and it's not working.

But the fix is pretty simple, you just have to update one component (MenuCracker) to the Lion compatible version.

1. Get the new version in http://sourceforge.net/projects/menucracker/files/menucracker/
2. Open the Disk Image
3. Copy the MenuCracker.menu file to /Library/Application Support/iStat local/extras/, overwriting the existing (old) one.

It's better to quit System Preferences before doing it.

After updating this file, iStat Menus 2 is working again in my MacBook.
