I found the menubar version IChat works but once I try to open the contact list it crashes

Worked fine for video, audio, and text but screen sharing is currently not working for some users and some have buddies disappearing and the contact list causing crashes. iChat is replaced by Messages in 10.8. When launching a backed up version it says that its out of date and won't open.

Unable to share my screen in ichat, what the client saw was inverted (upside down, not black/white) and shattered.

Buddy list works fine 11a494a Lion. Wonder if this was an earlier Lion release bug, or an issue of number of buddies. Same iChat 6.0.
Screen sharing not tested since I only have one Lion beta machine.

yahoo messenger in ichat does not seem to work correctly (for me at least). No one including myself appears to be webcam or audio capable on my large buddy list.
