OGG playback works fine if iTunes startup is set to 32bit. Rightclick iTunes.app and select "Information", check "start in 32bit-mode"

It does work if iTunes or whatever other application is set to launch in 32-bit mode. Of course that is an annoying workaround and the correct solution would be a 64-bit compatible version of this plugin.

What's wrong to run iTunes in 32bit mode to get thousands of *.ogg files working? Dumb

Yup, works in Lion if iTunes booted in 32-bit mode. Honestly I don't know what the big deal is for iTunes running in 64-bit mode. You don't need >4 gigs of RAM to play music, watch movies, etc. I suppose the big problem may be if you used another plugin that required 64-bit mode.
