looks like it's time for the 2.8 native/noX11 to get more stable

Can't even paste image to GIMP, crop tool doesn't work, thought it must be me since I'm a GIMP newbie. Regardless, I got discouraged at that point and gave up on GIMP.

Just tested on iMac with Lion, the hotkeys are unusual but it works. Command hotkeys apply to X11, so control hotkeys are used throughout. Takes getting used to, but like I said it works.
