Notes

The latest 5.6.0 SP2 download seems to have been updated with a hotfix that solves the Mountain Lion problems. The name on the new download file is "ZendServer-CE-php-5.3.14-5.6.0-SP2-hotfix1.dmg". I was able to do a fresh install and did not receive any of the errors reported by others. It also seems that the app has been signed because I did not have to adjust the Mountain Lion security setting to allow apps from "Anywhere".

Yesterday I received the notice that the updated version was released. After installing the new version all was working fine. The hack given by Ross also worked for me. Though I do prefer to use the Official fixes.
