Same crashing problems as with 2011b.

You might get an authentication error on startup. Solved it by opening the package content of the application and double-clicking the Activate icon so that I could restate my credentials.

Nevertheless, I'm still getting a lot of crashes, usually when using the Variable Editor.

the problem with crashes of matlab on OSX LION have been patched recently and it now works completely fine.

The name of the bug is 749571:

http://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/ 749571

Go on the page and download a patch file called bug749571.zip
and replace your existing widget.jar in the /Applications/MATLAB R2012a/java/jar/ by the one contained in the zip file.

Restart matlab and you're good to go :)
