Works well. Must start manually once to register the auto-start again.

Problems with Safari 6, though — only registers when you click outside (!) the text.
To fix this:

1. Quit PopClip
(select the menu bar entry, leftmost tab, and use the quit button)

2. Open Terminal app and enter the following command:

defaults delete com.pilotmoon.popclip

3. Restart PopClip
(since you have the terminal open, just type:)

open -a popclip

Kudos to pilotmoon for providing this fix so quickly.
I expect the next version will fix this automatically.

Yup. Stopped working when upgraded to Mountain Lion.

It rarely works on Mountain Lion. I think the chance to get it working is about 5% or so. Please update it, developers.

It sure works in Mountain Lion — you just have to start it once more, because the auto-start at login gets lost in the ML upgrade process.

What it doesn't work in: Safari 6. The menu does not come up, *except* if you klick outside (and close to) the text you want to mark. Strange. Can surely be fixed. Up to then, no Popclip in Safari 6 :-(

Tried to reboot system, relance app Nothing happened
The icon is inactive
Surprised that this app wasn't tested with developers os.
Can we hope for an update?

I agree. It does not work. I have restarted manually, no difference. Doesn't work in Safari, Word, Mail. However it does work in TextEdit and OmniFocus.

Why would the developer state on his website "OS X 10.8 Ready"?

Just remove and reinstall and it will work

"OS X 10.8 Ready": It sure is. It's just the upgrade from 10.7 that has a little glitch :-)
If you install it from scratch in 10.8, it will "just work"™.
Bugs happen, and if you look into the details of how this bug came to be (kind of evident from what changed in the plist), you can see that this one is a glitch that is hard to predict or test. I trust pilotmoon will get a fix out once the ML-induced app change queue at Apple clears.
