The current versions of OpenVPN Connect will work with Mountain Lion, however you have to do the following:
1) go to Security Preferences panel and enable "allow apps from outside App store"
2) you may have to reinstall the client after upgrading, as the upgrade will wipe out the stored certificates needed for the client to function.
