The current version of X-Plane is 10, not 9.70.

Just tested it with 9.70 and although it worked, it did not recognize the joystick. I trashed the X-plane preferences and restarted. Joystick is now recognized.

Changed the availability on Mac App Store to "no". There are only the mobile versions in the App Store for iPhone and iPad but no desktop version in the Mac App Store.
