I also play through Steam and R.U.S.E. works fine on my Mac with OS X Mountain Lion.

bought through Steam, worked great in 10.6 and 10.7 Crashes in 10.8 when trying to start a new game or skirmish. Game begins to load and just about the time it hands it off for user input it freezes.
The console doesn't offer any helpful information. I have found that Force Quitting the application rarely closes it, and that connecting via ssh and killing the PID doesn't close it either.
