This is a remake of the first title in the Fable series of games.
If you are running OSX Lion it will have graphical issues due to no patch or update.
-> graphig problems under Mac OS 10.7 Lion on MacBook Pro
-> works fine again on MacOS 10.8 Mountain Lion

EDIT:
Didn't want to change what was previously here, but I ran this in Lion for a long time with no graphical issues (MacBook Pro, Intel HD Graphics 3000). After upgrading to OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, the game sometimes quits unexpectedly or freezes. Not a major issue as this doesn't happen very often at all, just be sure to save your progress frequently.

I tried to play this game on two different lion-systems (iMac and macbook pro 13), but it didn't work on both of them. However, the graphics is the main problem so you can't play anymore. Sometimes even the whole mac freezes, so you have to reset the mac. It's a pity, it was a great game. I hope an update for mac os x 10.7 will come soon…

yeah same here. Everything else was working fine but there's something in the video drivers that aren't compatible. I was running snow leopard on this 17in macbook pro and it ran fable perfectly, i installed lion on the same hardware and now the shadows become blocky, and then when things get really bad the polygon drawing has a seizure and then it all dies.
There was one thing, it kept blipping back to the desktop in and out. I think it may have to do with the new Spaces technology. Anyhoo, i agree, such a shame.
