After updating OS to Mountain Lion: picture twitching when it switches from scene to scene; frozen oversized upside-down shadows of ships (=all wrong, garbled graphics) etc. This game is either incompatible with Mountain Lion, or there is something wrong with the OS itself - the game worked impeccably with the "old" Lion.
