This is the second spin-off title in the Command & Conquer series of games. C&C Generals works without problem when patched to 1.04 on Lion … C&CG:Zero Hour crashes after 10sec.. (at least for me)

So what am i doing wrong guys?
I put the disk in on my 2008 macbook, i get the normal mount, install, enter serial, etc. No Problems.
Now, with my Macbook Pro Early 2011 10.7.3, I put the disk in and the disk folder shows up with three folders all titled "Command & Conquer Generals Deluxe" The first folder appears to be german, the second english and the third french.
I click into the second folder and theres no install button or anything like that. Just the standard generals and zero hour icon, in which when i click it says "Command and conquer generals cannot be run off the DVD. Please install the game to your hard drive"
So anyways i'm at a loss here. The Aspyr site is down so i can't download the update, in which i've installed it before and it doesn't do anything anyway.
Do you guys think that i perhaps need to downgrade back to snow leopard. Install C&C, upgrade to lion then update?, if thats the case i will just give up trying.

Yep, found the update and i can't install the update because there is no previous version of command and conquer generals installed to be updated. So the question is how do i install the game on os x lion, when it installs on the 2 other snow leopards and leopard macs i have in the house.

then install it.
Note: Make sure you have at least a non-working copy of Command & Conquer Generals installed.
My Deluxe Edition was installed when I had "Snow Leopard" it stopped working after I upgraded to "Lion" for obvious reasons. I did the above now I play with no issues at all.

Whats wrong with apple?, most of my games now don't work. I've paid £30 for an erratic expose and for my mouse scroll to be reversed and more importantly none of my games work. I think they were bored.

You are completely wrong. This game works perfectly on Lion with zero compromises.
All you have to do is install the game, then install the 1.04 update that makes it into a Universal Binary app.
Once again, zero issues and it plays really nice!
