Scrivener is a powerful content-generation tool for writers designed for composing and structuring long and difficult documents. While it gives you complete control of the formatting, its focus is on getting you to the end of that awkward first draft.

I asked in the Scrivener forum this morning and the developer says Scrivener will work fine with 10.8 when it is released.

The title-bar file rename/maintenance feature of Mountain Lion does not seem to work with Scrivener.

v 2.0.5 works fine except the full screen. The company will release answer version (2.1) that will work fully with Mac OS X Lion (10.7).

Whose "full screen" are we talking about? The new Full Screen mode for 10.7, or Scrivener's native full screen mode? They aren't the same.

The developer just released Scrivener version 2.1 (July 20, 2011)—-which it states is fully Lion compatible.

@vlad and Steve: Scrivener's native full screen mode is now renamed "composition mode", and the name "full screen mode" refers to the Lion full-screen mode, which functions as in other apps.

Current version of Scrivener works in released version of Lion, references to developer previews of the OS and older Scrivener versions no longer appear relevant.
