If you're experiencing crashes in fullscreen mode: DOSBox 0.7.4 uses an older version of SDL. A snapshot build with SDL v1.2.15 solves this problem: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7737184/Dosbox/Dosbox-Snapshot.dmg

Fired up fine on Mountain Lion.. Jones In The Fast Lane and Leisure Suit Larry both start fine once inside.

Chris, are you playing in fullscreen mode or not?
Because after a reinstall and some testing I found out the fullscreen mode (both in the config file or with alt+enter) to be the culprit. I had a similar problem with OpenTTD (though that one didn't crash).
Strangely enough, with OpenTTD I found more people have encountered the fullscreen issue. With regard to DOSBox? Not one, so that's why I'll keep it on "works fine", unless I find others do encounter this problem as well. Perhaps it's my system (MBP mid-2009, GeForce 9400M, 64 bit).

Resolution found: a user named Dominus said: "The problem is SDL which dosbox uses and that was fixed in SDL 1.2.15 which my built uses." His build is available from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7737184/Dosbox/Dosbox-Snapshot.dmg
If more people are experiencing this issue, I would recommend setting the application status to "works but with some problems".
