History
No news is good news. This model is essentially a speed-bump of the Mid/Late 2007 design minus the inbuilt numeric keypad. This is also the first model to not include an Apple Remote in the packaging. However, it is the first of the line to allow a third processor option at build time: this one a 2.6 GHz Core2 Duo with 6 MB cache. Dedicated VRAM gets doubled in all setups, while storage options make modest gains.
From this point onward, as the 15" model develops internally, it begins to shed features once considered computing staples.
Advisory/Other:
This model is vulnerable to faults in the NVIDIA 8600M GT GPU, caused by an abnormally weak bond between GPU and logic board. If you experience scrambled video or no video at all, have the logic board serviced.
