Question
"Just trying to figure if this has reached end of life"
Answer
This is indeed a legacy Mac. The iMac G5 was only the second major desktop model line to use an integrated LCD display, and was perhaps, for its time, one of the most striking of Sir Jon Ive's design works—how does a massive machine like that stand so well on a single cast-aluminum flared leg? The G5 itself was hailed as a marvel of modern science: 64-bit to the core. However, the G5 also quickly developed a reputation for venting off copious amounts of heat, which required the use of as many as nine fans in the Power Mac towers. The iMac was supplied with three fans and an improved rear-convection system versus the "lampshade" G4's before it.
The original G5 iMacs frequently ran afoul with power supply issues and defective capacitors on the logic board, but for those that worked, they could easily be upgraded with AirPort Extreme, up to a 2 TB SATA HDD (Apple offered 160 GB), and up to 2 GB of PC3200 DDR RAM. Bluetooth 1.1 was also offered as a BTO option.
Shipped with at least Mac OS X 10.3.5 Panther, it can handle a max of Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard. It is NOT, therefore, capable of pairing with iOS 6 devices

The above statement/answer is incorrect. An issue I am having is that before the update to iOS 7, I had iOS 6 on both my iPhone 5 and iPad 2. The iPad would sync fine with my G5 but my iPhone would not. I have not update my iPad to iOS 7 in fear that it will no longer sync with my G5. Any answers on whether my iPad will continue to sync with iOS 7 on my iPad??
